Burkina Faso will be hoping to continue with their fine run in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations when they face Tunisia in the quarter finals.
The highly anticipated clash is slated for Saturday evening with the Stallions hoping to progress to the next at the expense of the Carthage Eagles.
Looking at their group stage run, the Burkinabe finished at number one in Group A with five points from one win and two draws.
By reaching the last eight stage, the Paulo Duarte-coached side will be motivated by the possibility of a semifinal spot.
Their mission is to reach the final and win it to improve their second-place finish in 2013 in South Africa as they lost to Nigeria in the final.
Strikers Bertrand Traore and Prejuce Nakoulma are the men set to cause all sorts of troubles for the North Africans.
On the other hand, Tunisia will be also hoping to bag their second continental trophy after claiming it in 2004 at home.
Coach Henryk Kasperczak’s men are fresh from a convincing 4-2 win over Zimbabwe and will want to keep their winning run intact.
Coming from Group B as runners up to Senegal, Tunisia lost to the Lions of Teranga and bagged two wins over the Warriors and arch rivals Algeria.
Coach Kasperczak will bank on forwards Youssef Msakni and Naim Sliti’s form as they have managed to find the back of the net and are doing well for the side.
The match will be staged at Stade d’Angondjé in Libreville on Saturday evening, at 18:00.
