Black Stars defender Edwin Gyimah has mutually parted ways with South African side Orlando Pirates, Kickgh.com can exclusively reveal.

The 25-year-old wrote to the club officials to cancel his contract on a mutual consent.

Gyimah was a member of the Ghana squad that placed fourth at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The statement by Orlando Pirates reads “The Club has agreed to release the player as per his request.

Gyimah had submitted a request in writing prior to his departure to the African Cup of Nations where he was to go on national duty with Ghana”

“The Club has acceded to Mr Gyimah’s request and wishes him all of the best in his future endeavours”
