The Ashanti Regional Inter School and Colleges Athletics Finals, Super Zonals comes off tomorrow Thursday 23rd February and ends on Friday, 24th Febraury, 2017. Venue is the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Kumasi Technical Institute has pulled out as a result of clashes with the Police after their qualification from their Zone last week. Students of KTI were founding vandalising cars and other properties as a form of celebrating their qualification to the Super Zonals which compelled the Police to beat them up.
They will be replaced by SIMMS Commercial School who placed 7th in the said Zone with 37 points.
Obuasi sec tech and K.S.T.S will come to the stadium on Thursday and Friday without their students coming to support them after destroying some seats in the Stadium.
Kofi Agyei have been included in the boys category because their protest against St Hubert couldn’t be ruled due to the time frame. The process could have delayed the super-zonals. The same thing has happened in the Girls category with Serwaa Nyarko girls also joining the Girls for the super Zonals after their protest against Nyhinahin Catholic S.H.S.
