Aduana Stars continued their impressive start to the season with an emphatic 4:0 win against Bolga All Stars, who have lost two games so far with a game in hand.
A brace by Seth Appiah ensured that Chelsea defeated Liberty Professionals 2:0 in Berekum. He scored the first in the 29th minute and added the second in the 36th minute.
Mumuni Zakaria opened the scoring for Aduana in the 23rd minute and Nathaniel Asamoah added the second in the 48th minute. Noah Martey and Tanko Mohammed scored the 3rd and 4th to complete the rout, which secured Aduana’s one hundred per cent record.
In Kumasi, Asante Kotoko survived a scare by Bechem United with a 1:0 win. Kotoko were stretched to their limits and they had to wait until the 85th minute to score through a penalty on Emmanuel Gyamfi and converted by Abeiku Ainooson.
Elsewhere, the Arch rivals of Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak are still chasing their first win of the season after drawing for the third successive time against Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast.
The Phobians went into the game with a background of two draws in the opening two games of the season and they drew 1:1 with Dwarf, which has left them already six points behind the summit.
Hearts gave their fans hope when Patrick Razak put them ahead in the 8th minute, but Dwarfs hit back right after the break through Nicholas Gyan to frustrate their guests.
Tema Youth and Ashantigold drew 1:1 in Tema, with Joseph Paintsil scoring for Tema Youth through a penalty while Shafiu Mumuni scored for Ashantigold in the 70th minute.
Another game which also ended in a 1:1 draw was Medeama and Inter Allies in Tarkwa. Bernard Ofori opened the scoring for Medeama iand Isaac OSA equalised for Inter Allies.
Great Olympics and Elmina Sharks drew 2:2 in Accra. Abel Manomey score twice for Olympics before Sharks came back strongly and levelled up through Shadrack Tweneboah and Joseph Mensah .Shadrack’s goal would go down as Elmina Sharks’ first ever Premier League goal.
