GPL Saturday Review: Aduana secures draw at Sogakope


Aduana Stars dropped points for the first time this season in the Ghana Premier League as they were held 1-1 by West African Football Academy (WAFA) at the Sogakope Park.

Aduana Stars has won their first three games in the GPL and was on course to make it 4 in a row as Sam Adams put the Dormaa based club into the lead in the early minutes of the first half only for Richmond Nii Lamprey to grab the equaliser in the second half. Both sides went in for the winner but must settle for a draw at the end of the game.

The draw means Aduana moves to 10 points and occupies first position after Matchday 4.

The Matchday continues on Sunday with seven other matches to be played across all centres. The biggest matches in the Matchday will see Hearts of Oak host league champions, Wa All Stars with AshantiGold SC welcoming Kotoko at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium.

Liberty Professionals vs. Medeama SC – Carl Reindorf Park

Inter Allies FC vs. Ebusua Dwarfs – El Wak Stadium
All games start at 15:00GMT.
