Diego Costa has been adjudged the most reliable scorer in the Premier League history beating the likes of PL legends, Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer and Ruud van Nistelrooy in the measurement of prolific strikers with his delicious strike against his old favourites, Swansea City.
The Spanish forward netted the third in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over the Welsh Club putting him in first place in terms of goal ratio surpassing Van Nistelrooy in the process.
The Chelsea striker’s explicit finish to round off the 3-1 victory at Stamford Bridge was the 42nd match out of 78 in the competition in which he has netted.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is level with Van Nistelrooy in terms of goal ratio and if he succeeds in scoring in his next three league games with Costa failing to score will ensure the Swede move above the Spanish. Sergio Aguero will need to do more if he is to move shoulders with the Chelsea star man.
