Liverpool travels to the King Power Stadium to face champions, Leicester City in matchweek 26.
The champions has been struggling for survival after amassing just 21 points from the previous 25 games already played in the Premier League. The champions lies 18th on the PL log going into matchweek 26 and face a daunting task against fifth placed Liverpool. The Foxes are yet to score a Premier League goal in 2017 and has parted ways with their manager, Claudio Ranieri last Thursday and will be managed on the touchline by assistant manager.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have won one of the last 10 PL games before their 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspurs a fortnight ago. The Merseyside based club will move to third on the league log with a win and will be level on points with Manchester City after the Citizens game against their city rivals were postponed due to Manchester United participation in the EFL final.
Liverpool has only the PL to focus on after failing to advance in the FA Cup and exiting the EFL at the semi final stage. Jurgen Klopp’s men had a nightmarish January but their elimination means, they have only the PL to concentrate on. This means Liverpool has only 13 games to concentrate on if they want to make a top four finish in the PL.
The Monday Night football between Leicester City and Liverpool starts at 20:00GMT at the King Power Stadium.
