The 53 year-old who was in the race alongside Nyantakyi (Ghana) and Leodegar Tenga (Tanzania) has cited need for unity as the reason for his move.
“I took the decision for the sake of unity in world football,” he told Soka25east, while wishing Tenga and Kwesi well in the race.
“I would like to wish both Tenga and Kwesi all the best in the upcoming elections.”
