The Committee tasked to search for a new Black Stars head coach has set Friday 10th March, 2017, 5pm as the final deadline for the submission of applications for the job.
The GFA Executive Committee tasked a six member Committee headed by FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi to look for a new national team Coach for the Senior National Team.
The Committee was also mandated to target suitable and competent coaches for consideration even if they don’t apply for the post.
The Committee therefore reminds Coaches –both local and foreign who are interested in coaching the Black Stars to send their applications and supporting documents to the Committee at the email address: firstname.lastname@example.org or Ghana Football Association P.O. Box AN 19338,Accra before the deadline above.
The post is currently vacant following Avram Grant’s departure last month. The Israeli and the Ghana FA parted ways after he saw out his tenure with a disappointing showing at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Grant’s former assistant, Maxwell Konadu, is currently in charge of the Black Stars on a caretaker basis and is expected to lead the team during the March international window.
Ghanamansports.com reports that approximately 75 coaches – both local and international – have applied for the post.
The likes of Milutin Sredojevic, Herve Renard and Harry Redknapp have been linked with the job by media reports.
