The Dane beat the Czech Republican 5-7 6-1 6-1 to advance and will play Konta on Saturday in the Women’s final.
Konta was at her best when she defeated the American and said after the game that she was excited to make history and is looking forward to playing Wozniacki.
“Caroline’s one of the best athletes on tour, so I know I am going to be running for a lot of balls.
“I’m looking forward to it, it is going to be a battle and I will try my best.”
Konta can reach a career-high world number seven when she is able to defeat Wozniacki to win the title.
In the Men’s singles, Rodger Federer defeated spirited Tomas Berdych to reach the semi finals of the 2017 Miami Open.
The 35 year old Swiss beat the Czech 6-2 3-6 7-6 (8-6) to claim his 17th win out of 18 for the year 017.
The Swiss needed to survive a two match points in the deciding set to break Berdych. The win means Federer has extended his run against Berdych to seven games.
He will now face Nick Krygios in the semis.
Nick Krygios saw off impressive Alexander Zverev 6-4 6-7 (11-9) 6-3 to reach the semis.
The semi finals also see Rafael Nadal and Fabio Fognini play in the other semi final tie. Nadal defeated American Jack Sock to reach this stagge while Fognini defied all odds to make history as he beat Japanese Kei Nishikori to become the first unseeded player in a decade to reach the semis.
This means there is a potential final of Nadal and Federer if both are able to win their respective ties. Federer beat Nadal 6-2 6-3 in Melbourne to win the Australian Open.
