Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has indicated that forward Saido Mane is set to miss the rest of the season due to the knee injury suffered when Liverpool beat Everton 3-1 last week at Anfield.
The Senegalese was stretched off after colliding with Leighton Baines in the early minutes of the second half and manager Klopp indicated in his pre-match presser that he was “pretty sure” Mane needed surgery, leaving it “pretty much impossible for him to play again this season”.
Jurgen Klopp also talked about his captain Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana saying;
“Adam Lallana is much better but is not in training while Jordan Henderson is in a good way, but I don’t know when he can be part of training again”.
Lallana suffered a thigh injury at the international break last month and Henderson has been out since February.
Liverpool travels to Stoke City on Saturday.
