Asante Kotoko Coach Frimpong Manso says he can turn the dwindling fortunes of the club around despite losing to their arch rivals Hearts of Oak in an anniversary cup game on Monday.
The porcupine warriors yesterday for the second time this season lost to the phobians by three goals to one at the Accra Sports stadium.
They have failed to impress after enjoying a great start to the season under former coach Zdravko Lugarusic.
Manso insists he will get the team back to winning ways.
He went on to explain that the main problem of the team is their inability to finish off chances created in a game,” our build up has improved and confidence to attack is better but what is lacking is how to put the ball in the net for goals”, Frimpong Manso lamented
“We have good materials but results are not coming, its about performance but we are improving and with time we will get there”
“There is pressure everywhere even in the lower tier so we will bounce back in great style”he told reporters.
“Yes it is true that before I came to Kotoko, their strength was not conceding goals but at that time, they were playing with 7 defenders.”
“Now things have changed as we have to attack to solve our goal scoring problems”. He continued.
Frimpong also asked the supporters to be patient with goal keeper Felix Annan, as he admitted that the mistake of the “number one” led to Kotoko conceding against Hearts of Oak yesterday.
He has been out best player from day one when the league started, so we can not use this mistake to condemn him, he will come in better.
