Ghana Armwrestling team, the Golden Arms has set a record in the African Armwrestling Championship held in Lagos, Nigeria.
The Golden Arms became the first African country to record a highest number of medals by any federation at a single championships after picking up 21 medals at the just ended African Armwrestling Championship. The Golden Arms won 10 Gold, 5 Silver and 6 Bronze.
The full medals won by Ghana are:

Nii Darku Doddo (75kg) Gold 1, Bronze 1
Nii Otoo Larkyne-immigration (110kg) Silver 1

Adjetey Sowah (65kg) Gold 1, Silver 1
Cabu Ocansey (70kg) Silver 2
Ebenezer Nii Armah (+110kg) Bronze 1

Masters Category (Over 40yrs) Gold 2, Silver 1, Bronze 1.
Despite this achievement, Ghana finished second to host, Nigeria after the conclusion of the tournament as the West African side took away 46 medals.

Leader of the team, Charles Asibey told the teeming reporters that: “I am elated we made a good impression at our maiden international meeting, thanks to our sponsors, T T Brothers, Original Abe Nsuo and Kofikrom Pharmacy”.
