
The President of Ghana, His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed solidarity for Kotoko after the club was involved in an accident when returning from Accra to Kumasi.
The Porcupine Warriors played Inter Allies at the El Wak Stadium, losing 1-0 to Allies but the loss was deepened as the bus carrying the team was involved in an accident that saw one dead and several injured.
The president who was heavily hit by the tragedy said in a tweet, expressing solidarity to the club; “Saddened by the news of the accident involving players and officials of Kotoko”. “My heart goes out to the team; speedy recovery to the injured, he added”.

There was also a message for the club from former President, His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama who also shown support to Asante Kotoko for the tragic incident that occured yesterday.
He said on Facebook; “Let’s remember Asante Kotoko SC in our prayers”.
The whole football fratenity and Ghanaians are deeply hurt by the tragedy.
