Egypt defender, Ahmed Hegazi has joined WestBromich Albion on a season-long loan deal.
The former Fiorentina player who left the club in 2015 following an injury-hit spell to join Egyptian side Al Ahly has signed for the English outfit and has the option to sign for WestBrom on permanent basis after the loan deal.
Hegazi was part of the team of the tournament at the 2017 African Cup of Nations where Egypt finished second.
WestBromich Albion’s manager, Tony Pulis indicated that Hegazi is a “good addition” as he said the centre back has a “good pedigree” to do well in the Premier League.
“He’s a good addition. He’s got good pedigree and played for some good clubs”.
“If he does well, we’ve already agreed a final deal. It’s really, really good for us”.
He will link up with his teammates in Hong Kong although he still awaits his international clearance.
