Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been drawn to face Dormaa based Nea Salamina at the Baba Yara stadium in the quarter finals of the MTN FA Cup after the draw was held today at the M Plaza hotel this afternoon.
The Porcupine Warriors who last week had an accident when their bus ran into a stationary car at Nkawkaw is still on the recovery and treatment process but will have to bypass second tier, Nea Salamina if they have any chance of making it to the semis of the competition.
The draw which also saw Kotoko arch rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak paired with Danbort FC is a chance for the Phobians to win a silverware this season looking at the Premier League and also will be willing to win the coveted trophy for the first time since it was re-introduced since 2009.
League champions, Wa All Stars who is at the bottom half of the Ghana Premier League table will host Berekum Chelsea in the all-premiership affair. The match will come off at the Malik Jabir Stadium in Wa.

The quarter final matches are scheduled to take place on the 29th and 30th of July, 2017.
The MTN FA Cup Committee headed by Dreams FC owner, Kurt Okraku indicated that the home teams will pocket GH₵4000 as a prepartory bonus while the away teams will get GH₵5000 to enable them cater for all expenses that may be incurred in the course of travelling for the games.
