Spanish and Chelsea winger, Pedro Rodriguez has been sent home from the club’s preseason tour after suffering concussion and facial injuries.
The Spaniard had this injury in Chelsea’s 3-0 friendly win over Arsenal at the Nest Bird Stadium in Beijing.
Pedro, 29, had a collision with the Arsenal goalkeeper, David Ospina and needed to be rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte allayed any fears at his post match conference saying;
“Pedro went to the hospital and for sure he should be OK but I think he had concussion”.
“For this reason, our doctor preferred to take him to the hospital and check him in the right way”, he added.
The club in an official statement indicated that Pedro has been kept in overnight for observation.
“He will now return to London for further review,” the club added.
The Spanish also posted on social media that “everything is OK”.
The Chelsea team will travel to Singapore as they begin their International Championship Cup (ICC) on Tuesday against Bayern Munchen.
