The Premier League Board will meet today to propose a one-month break for the Ghanaian Premier League.
The PLB met last week and proposed to break the league if Kumasi Asante Kotoko fails to recover from their accident and return to action by the next GPL matchweek scheduled for August 2.
They also indicated that they will break the league for the local team of Ghana, the Black Stars B to prepare for next month’s CHAN qualifiers and the WAFU Championship in September.
“The CHAN is of importance to us and we are hosting the WAFU so we need to support the Black Stars B team”.
“But we will see whether our proposal will be accepted by the Ghana FA”, a source at the PLB said.
Kotoko was involved in an accident after their matchweek 22 game against Inter Allies and have two games outstanding as they recuperate from the incident.
This made the PLB imdicate that they will meet today to find out if the league should be postponed or not as they propose a month break to help the team recover and also the Black Stars B participate in the CHAN qualifiers and the WAFU Champs.
