Patrick Kluivert son’s Shan Kluivert has signed a deal with kit sponsors Nike aged 9.
The nine year old has followed the footsteps of his father Patrick Kluivert who is a Dutch and Barcelona great. He becomes the third member of the Kluivert’s family alongside Justin Kluivert, 18, to make a name for himself.
Patrick Kluivert, 41, won two Dutch Eredivisie titles and the UEFA Champions League during his three years at Ajax between 1994 and 1997, after making his debut aged 18.
He went on to play for AC Milan, Barcelona, Newcastle United, Valencia, PSV Eindhoven and Lille and scored 40 goals in 79 appearances for his country.
Justin, 18, made his Ajax debut in January, scoring his first senior goal in March and was also part of the Dutch side that reached the Europa League final, losing to Manchester United.
Shane announced he has signed a contract with sportswear giant Nike on his Instagram account- which already has 120,000 followers. The social media savvy nine-year-old also has his own YouTube channel.
Shane is one of the promising young players who have been signed unto the ‘talent identification departments’.
