Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, Abeiku Ainooson has revealed that his club may lack match fitness against their arch rivals Hearts of Oak.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will take on Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium in matchweek 23 outstanding game.
Abeiku Ainooson who is on loan at AshantiGold SC from Asante Kotoko believes the club not playing competitive football since the tragic incident on July 12 will have a tall effect on Kotoko.
He said; “We all know Kotoko have not played for like three weeks now and definitely will struggle with match fitness against Hearts who have been in action during that period”.
“There may be instances in the game that would be telling for the Kotoko players to be able to deal with the pressure and cope up with the tempo because of not playing in the last weeks”, he added.
“All the same form guide doesn’t count in this fixture so you cannot predict the outcome until 5pm on Sunday where we would know the winner”.
Kotoko will take on Hearts of Oak on Sunday as they seek to bounce back in style against their arch rivals.
