BREAKING: CRISTIANO RONALDO SUSPENDED FOR FIVE GAMES

Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended for five games after being sent off in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday.

Real Madrid won 3-1 against Barcelona in the first leg and ahead of the second leg on Wednesday, their Portuguese forward is banned for five games by the LFP.

Ronaldo was shown the yellow card for removing his shirt when he shot in a stunner and was booked for appearing to dive.

The Portuguese appeared pushing the referee on the day in his back when he was sent off and has been handed a further four games ban to add to the one he will miss.

He will miss Real Madrid’s next five games including the return leg of the Super Cup and the season’s La Liga Santander opener against Deportivo La Coruna.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid has 10 days to appeal the decision.
