Head coach of Aduana Stars Yusif Abubakar has expressed his frustration towards the conduct of Hearts of Oak coach Frank Nuttal when the two sides met at the Accra Sports stadium.
Aduana Stars travelled to Accra to face Hearts of Oak in matchweek 26 of the Ghana Premier League in what was billed the match to decide who wins the 2016/2017 GPL.
Hearts of Oak drew 3-3 with Aduana Stars after regulation time and needed to come back three times to get a point in what was a dramatic match played yesterday at the Accra Sports stadium.
Abubakar, who steered his side to get a draw and stay atop of the league with four games to go was infuriated by the actions put up by Nuttal claiming he used f**** word on him.
He said after the game; “Hearts’ coach insulted me several times on the touchline”.
“He used many offensive words on me in the presence of everybody including his technical team. This is getting unabated in Ghana on this particular coach”, he added.
When asked if he decided to smoke a peace pipe with his compatriot, the head coach of Aduana Stars said; “The team manager of Hearts of Oak asked me to smoke the peace pipe with him after the game but he snubbed me”.
“I don’t want to officially report him to the Ghana Football Association but he must desist from that attitude”, he lamented.
Yusif Abubakar continued by saying he is ready to compare his CV to the Scottish for all to judge who is better. He further added; “I wish we could compare our CV’s for everyone to see who is better”.
“If he thinks he’s superior to any coach in Ghana, he must know that I had my ‘UEFA License A’ course ten-years ago in Germany”, he reiterated.
“It’s improper to have foreign coaches insulting local coaches on the touchline for no reason”, he indicated.
Aduana Stars head coach who said Frank Nuttal was critical on his medical team concluded by saying; “He is a technical man and he has no right to talk about our medical team”.
He added; “If his duty is to insult medical teams, then I think Hearts of Oak need a technical coach”.
Aduana Stars will be looking forward to win the Ghana Premier League for the first time since 2010.
