FIFA WOMEN’S U-20 WORLD CUP : GHANA WILL NOT UNDERESTIMATE ALGERIA – YUSIF BASIGI

Yusif Basigi, Head Coach of the National Women’s U-20 team, Black Princess has stated that his ladies will not underestimate Algeria in the second leg of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Ghana walloped Algeria 5-0 in Algiers in the first leg and are due to play the second leg in Accra after two weeks interval.

Black Princess are still preparing as they have pitched camp at the Prampram Football facility ahead of the match with their Algerian counter parts.

Basigi spoke to our reporter in Accra and explained thus ” we will respect our opponents, we will not be over taken by the results in the first leg, it is football, anything can happen and so we are training harder to win again”.

“We are not thinking of our next opponent, we are taking it match after match and will think of the next opponent when we finish the game ahead.

Ghana will host Algeria for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which comes off next year. Kickoff is at 3:00 pm GMT on Sunday.
