The official bank for the Black Stars, UniBank have given their congratulatory message to the Black Stars ‘B’ for winning the 2017 WAFU Cup last Sunday.

Ghana dismissed Nigeria 4-1 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday with goals from Stephen Sarfo (2), Vincent Atinga and Windful Cobbinah to win Ghana the West African trophy.

Officials and some of the players were at the World Trade Center on Wednesday to present the WAFU Cup to the one of the biggest financial institutions in the country.

Dr. Owusu-Ansah- Awere who is the Executive Director in charge of IT at UniBank congratulated the team for making Ghana proud with their fantastic performance.

According to the IT manager, uniBank is very proud to have associated themselves with the Black Stars brand and therefore expressed their gratitude regarding Ghana’s performance in the just ended tournament.

He also revealed that his out fit will hold a private meeting with executives of the Ghana Football Association to present their reward to the team.
Captain of the Black Stars B team, Isaac Twum, on behalf of his colleagues thanked uniBank for believing in them.

Eight out of the 18 players were present for the trophy presentation – they were Isaac Twum, Stephen Sarfo, Patrick Razak, Samuel Sarfo, Nuhu Adams, Emmanuel Ampiah, Felix Addo and Joseph Addo

Ghana’s Black Stars ‘B’ atoned for their sins with the WAFU trophy when they failed to qualfiy for the Championship of African Nations after loosing to Burkina Faso 2-1 in Kumasi, prior to that, they had drew with the Burkinabes 2-2 in Ouagadougou.
