Bastie Samir is the latest name on the lips of Ghanaians after he defeated famous boxer turned musician Braimah Kamoko, a.k.a Bukom Banku has paid a courtesy call on the immediate past Youth and sports Minister Hon Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye.
The former Youth and Sports minister who is also the Member of Parliament for the Odododiodioo Constituency which is popularly referred to as the “heart of boxing” in Ghana welcomed Bastie Samir and his team at his abode.
Hon Nii Lante Vanderpuye congratulated Bastie Samir for achieving such a famous and glorious feat in the history of Ghanaian Boxing and Sports in general.
The Member of Parliament for Odododiodioo Constituency also advised the boxing Champion not to see Bukom Banku as an enemy since they are all assets for the development of the Constituency.
He also urged Bastie Samir to continuously make Odododiodioo proud and raise the flag of Ghana high.
Hon. Nii Lante is an ardent fan of boxing as he is well known for his vast knowledge in the game dating back to his days as a sports journalist.
Bastie ended the unbeaten record of Bukom Banku when the two clashed last week in the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Bukom Banku accepted defeat in good fate and then wen ahead to congratulate his beater.
