TI Amass ended the dreams of Kumasi Anglican SHS (Super Kass) in the Ashanti Regional Inter Schools and Colleges Soccer when the two met in the first semi final match on Wednesday. Super Kass had the great dream of defending their trophy won in the last edition but was cut short by neigbours Amass in a tightly contested game.
The match which took place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi saw Amass running away with a 2-1 victory over Kass. Kofi Awreko scored a brace for Amass who came from behind to clinch the victory after Philip Opoku had put Kass Ahead.
Amass were extra happy as they revenged their loss at the same level to the same opponent. Amass were walloped 3-0 last year by Kass in the Semi finals.
In the second semi final game, Islamic SHS were also denied the second consecutive for final by Adu Gyamsi SHS when the former were piped by a lone courtesy Solomon Asante.
Kass will meet Islamic in the consolation game for the third and fourth place after which the grand finale will take place between TI Amass and Adu Gyamfi.
Adu Gyamfi and Amass are both former winners of the competition.
