Players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been given moral boost as promises filter in for the team as they prepare for their preliminary round clash with CARA Brazzaville on Sunday.
The players of the Royal club have been given great deal of motivation in order to push them to give their best as they return to Africa after missing out for some years.
Dr. Kyei Promises House and Money
The Executive Chairman and bank roller of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei, has promised to reward each player in the club with a two bedroom apartment should they win this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Dr. Kwame Kyei disclosed the Confederation Cup bonus packages to playing body in a meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
The Porcupine Warriors will begin their continental campaign at home against Congolese side CARA Brazzaville on Sunday.
Dr. Kyei also disclosed to the playing body led by captain Amos Frimpong that each player will also take home a qualification bonus of Ghc 20,000 if they make it to the group stage of the competition.
Plots of Land
The Chief of Abrankese, Nana Poku Amponsem II has also made a promise to the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the game.
Nana Amponsem revealed that he will give each player s well as the Technical Staff and Management members plots of land at Abrankese if they should win the 2018 Total CAF Confederations Cup.
Bus from a supporter
Managing Director of Dechris Company Limited and a die hard Kotoko fan, Christopher Damenya has promised to buy a brand new bus for the club if the team is able to win the CAF Confederations Cup this year.
Damenya told the media that, “I have promised the team a new bus if they win CAF Confederation Cup this year and trust me, I will honour it with a lot of others if God being so good they are able to win the cup for Asanteman” Said Damenya.
“The players themselves are very aware of what I can do for them. I don’t disappoint, so, if they win I will surprise them apart from the new bus I will buy for the team” he added.
Damenya, who is a staunch supporter of Ghana’s most successful club, Asante Kotoko and patron for Greater Accra Regional Circles Council (GARCC) is known for his mouthwatering and envious benevolence gesture towards the club.
Kotoko were losing finalists in the first edition of the tournament in 2004.
