Aduana Stars have now climbed up the league after getting a 3-2 win over Liberty Professionals in an outstanding League match played on Thursday. The game was played at the Agyemang Badu Park at Dormaa Ahenkro.
The defending League Champions lost to Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosa in the CAF Confederation Cup last Sunday.
Aduana’s Bright Adjei shot the host ahead before his Congolese colleague Oba Ulitch doubled for the home side. Coach Yusif Abubakar handed a debut to Congolese forward Oba Ikama Ulitch and a maiden start to Gockel Ahortor.
Simon Zibo who is the captain of Liberty Professionals pulled a goal back for his side with Yahaya Mohammed restoring the lead for the fire boys.
Brite Andoh got another consolation goal for Liberty late in the game but would not be enough to help the Scientific Soccer lads avoid yet another setback in the League.
The victory pushes Aduana Stars to 11th on the League table with 10 points with four outstanding matches to be played.
