Uruguay who are the hosts will be having their second appearance in the tournament.
The Uruguayans will be having the greatest of the fans support at the stadium as the host.
The two sides are meeting again for the second time of the tournament after the Ghanaians won the first encounter.
The Black Maidens thorn the young Celestes 5-0 apart at that same level in 2012 in Azerbaijan. The South American lads will be looking forward to capitalize on home advantage to ensure they seek a revenge.
Ghana’s Fuseina Mumuni will be making her third straight appearance in the FIFA tournament.
She featured for Ghana in 2014 and 2016 respectively. Her maiden appearance was in Costa Rica.
Coach Evans Adotey is confident of his side getting a good results in the opening game despite the hosts pressure.
“The coach has spent a long time preparing us for this first match and for the atmosphere we can expect there,” Mukarama told fifa.com.
“We have to be totally focused so that we don’t get knocked off our stride by the home fans cheering for their team.”
