Asante Kotoko Fly Out to Kenya ahead of Kariobangi clash

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have arrived in Kenya ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup against Kariobangi Sharks.

The match is due to kickoff on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 12:00 GMT.

Coach C.K Akunnor has expressed confidence in his squad to obtain a favourable scoreline in the first leg. Kariobangi qualified to this stage after walloping Arta Sola of Madagascar 6-1 on aggregate.

Though the Ghana Premier League is at a stand still, Kotoko have been playing some friendly matches ahead of this game. The Kumasi based club beat Ghana’s U-23 side, Black Meteors 3-0 in their last friendly game.



Coach Akunnor named his 18 man squad for the trip to Kenya on Monday. The team left Ghana on Tuesday by Ethiopian Airlines.

Defenders: Augustine Sefah, Evans Owusu, Amos Frimpong, Abdul Ganiyu, Wahab Adams Emmanuel Agyeman Badu

Strikers: Frederick Boateng, Naby Laye Keita, Songne Yacouba
