Ghana will take on defending Champions Cameroon at the Isamlia Stadium on Saturday, June 29 at 17:00 GMT.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are yet to lose a match in the African Cup of Nations after winning the trophy in 2017.

Coach Akwasi Appiah spoke to the media ahead of the all important clash after his side drew 2-2 with Benin in their first game.

“We are going to give Cameroon a really good game and I am sure we will emerge victorious,” the Ghana coach said.

Cameroon were able to beat Guinea Bissau 2-0 to go on top of the group, making it a little dicey for Ghana to avoid defeat in the second game.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s winger Thomas Agyepong has been ruled out of Saturday’s game against Cameroon in an injury, the Ghana Football Association have confirmed.

The Hibernian winger sustained an injury in Ghana’s 2-2 draw with Benin and was replaced by Samuel Owusu.

Samuel Owusu and Kojo Asamoah remain options for Coach Kwesi Appiah at the left-wing role.

The positive news is that Captain Andre Dede Ayew has been declared fit to face the Indomitable Lions after he also sustained injury in the Benin clash.
