
The men’s 4*100 relay team of Ghana won the second gold in the on going African Games 2019.

Ghana’s quartet was made up of Joseph Paul Amoah, Benjamin Azamati, Martin Owusu-Antwi and Sean Safo-Antwi
They made meat of their West African neighbours Nigeria with a time of 38.30 seconds.
Nigeria won silver with a time of 38.60 and South Africa with time of 38.80 took bronze.
On the other side of the coin, the female team finished 8th in the final of the women’s 4*100 race.
The quartet of Gemma Acheampong, Hor Halutie, Flings Owusu-Agyapong and Persis William-Mensah were the slowest in the pack, finishing with a time of 47.24 seconds.
Nigeria won gold, clocking 44.16 seconds, with South Africa (44.61) and Kenya (45.44) coming in second and third respectively.
