Berekum Chelsea continue fine form as Kotoko win late

Berekum Chelsea continued their fine run of form in the Ghana Premier League in match day 5.

After seeing off Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko with 1-0 win in Accra and Kumasi respectively, the Berekum lads piped Obuasi Ashgold at the Len Clay stadium last Saturday. Kofi Owusu scored the all important goal for Berekum.

At Dormaa, Yahaya Mohammed and Noah Martey’s free kick goals was enough to see Aduana through with all three points against Legon Cities FC with a 2-0 scoreline.

Kotoko got a big morale booster with two late goals from Matthew Ayim and Richard Arthur at the expense of Ebusua Dwarfs in Kumasi.

This was good for the team that played in an empty stadium after been banned for crowed violence.

Hearts of Oak fans were also given some very good treat at the Dansoman Liberty park when they came from behind to beat Liberty Professionals 2-1.

Bernard Arthur broke the hearts of Liberty fans with his late strike to ensure Hearts of Oak get back into the game. He then set up Kofi Kodzi who got the second goal for the phobians.

King Faisal secured their first away point when they held Karela United to a 1-1 draw. Accra Great Olympics also forced their way through to obtain 1-1 draw against Elmina Sharks.

Inter Allies and WAFA also settled for a 1-1 drawn game in Accra.

Dream’s FC also beat Medeama 1-0.
