C.K Akunnor makes first call up for Sudan double header

Akonnor names Ghana squad for Sudan games

Ghana Black Stars Coach, Charles Kobina Akunnor has released a list of 23 players to face Sudan later on in March.

The Stars will lock horns with Sudan’s Falcons of Jediane in a two legged affair for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Coach C.K Akunor made his list known when he met the media at a press conference at the GFA headquarters in Accra on Tuesday.

“I can assure that we will be an offensive-oriented team – a team that would like to pass the ball quick, move into attack and also be able to create chances.

“I want players who are disciplined and [adhere] strictly to our tactical play.” the former Stars captain explained.

C.K has also called up some new players to allow some competition in the team; Tariq Fosu from Brentford FC and Hapoel Ra’anana of Israel striker Eugene Ansah.

Some local players who have impressed from match day one in the on going Ghana Premier League have also earned a call up. Richard Attah (Hearts of Oak), Kwadwo Amoako (AshantiGold), Habib Mohammed (Asante Kotoko) and Yahaya Mohammed (Aduana Stars).
