ANTHONY BOAKYE DANKWAH WINS 2022 CYCLING COMPETITION – TOUR DU GHANA

Anthony Boafo Boakye Dankwah is the winner of the 2022 Tour du Ghana La rout du Sud. The competition was organized by the Ghana Cycling Federation.

The event took place in Accra on Monday July 11. It lasted for almost three hours, starting at 14:57 GMT and ending at 17: 34 GMT.

Anthony came first in the overall competition covering a distance of 97.5 Km and average speed of 36.7 Km/hr. The Champion took home an amount of GHs 5,000 as the best by time. Also winning as the best by points, Anthony was rewarded with an amount GHs 2,500. He is a member of the River Park Cycling Club.

The winner of the time by team was The Boss Tribe Cycling club and they also got an amount of GHS 2,000. The youngest cyclst went to Alexander Allotey also of the Boss tribe Club, he had an amount of GHs 1,000.

Fidel Tchalem of Royal Stars Cycling Club also won the best fighter and had an amount of GHs 1,000. The stage winner also went to Laurent Dedenu of the Royal Stars Cycling Club. He also had an amount of GHs 1,000.

The first Intermediate Sprint lasted three laps. It was won by Fidel Tchalem of Royal Stars Club. Anthony Boafo came second with Joseph Nii Quaye of Team Sky Club placing third.

Michael Naaba also won the second intermediate sprint which also lasted 6 laps. Joseph Quaye then came second as Anthony took the third position.

The third intermediate sprint was also won by Ebenezer Frank Quaye of City Migro Cycling Club. River Park’s Benjamin Agyemang Boahen came second as the third spot was picked by Pardie Nuru Alhassan of Gladiators Cycling Club.
