Controversies have raised their head in Ghana ahead of their appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Qualified National Teams have started releasing their list of 26 players to appear at the Mundial.
Coach Otto Addo is due to release his official list of players to represent Ghana in Qatar. This has created room some serious controversies ahead of the day for the confirmation of the players.
The Black Stars coach released fifty-five (55) players and is obliged to reduce it to twenty-six (26) per the demands of the tournament by FIFA.
Already circulating in the media is the names of players like Afena Gyan and Jeffery Schulpp. It has been reported that the agent who represents Jeffery has blasted the Ghana Football Association for dropping the Crystal Palace full back.
Kotoko is also complaining about the likely dropping of goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim but Hearts of Oak is likely to get their name represented by striker Afriyie Barnieh. It is reported that Barnieh is likely to get on board the ship to Qatar.
Ghana is due to play Portugal on November 24 in their first game at the World Cup. But they will face Switzerland in a friendly next week before leaving for Qatar.
